The Marlowe sconce is built around a single cylinder of real marble, so no two pieces light the same way. The stone is cut thin enough for the LED behind it to pass through the veining, turning the body of the lamp into the light source rather than hiding a bulb inside a shade. Switched off it reads as a quiet architectural detail on the wall. Switched on the grain glows from within.

A machined copper cap and backplate carry the weight and give the marble a warm metal counterpoint. The integrated LED draws 12W and runs at 3000K, a warm white that flatters plaster, timber and stone instead of flattening them, and it throws light up and down the wall in two soft columns. Rated for AC 90 to 260V, it suits standard household wiring without a transformer.
